Trust begins with an open door and an open book. County council minutes, legislative actions, and financial records should be clear, searchable, and easy for every resident to access and understand. As County Clerk, I will work to make government more open, more accessible, and more accountable because informed citizens build stronger communities.

However you choose to vote, by mail or in person, the Clerk's job is to make it clear, easy, and reliable. Utah's vote-by-mail system works, and I'm committed to running it well. That means current information on your options, locations, and deadlines, all easy to find. It means your address and ballot preferences handled fast and accurately. And as the law changes in 2029, I'll make sure no eligible voter loses their mail ballot for lack of a heads-up.

Every lawful vote and signature deserves to be counted. I will protect bipartisan election process by ensuring all parties oversee every step together. I will adhere to the plain language of Utah's and Summit County's election code to ensure voters are clear on the tools available to them and they have every opportunity to participate in democracy, affirm their rights, and hold local government accountable.

Whether you're starting a business, applying for a marriage license, or requesting public records, I will work to simplify processes, embrace technology where it makes sense, reduce unnecessary costs where possible, and deliver the clear, consistent service every Summit County resident deserves.

Why I'm Running

Most people never think about the role of County Clerk until they need a marriage license, register a business, request a public record, sign a referendum petition, or cast a ballot. That's the point. The Clerk's Office is where everyday life meets local government, and it should work smoothly every single time.

I'm Suni Woolstenhulme, and Summit County has been home to my family for more than 20 years. My husband Jay and I raised our six children and built a small business here. Running for Clerk isn't about partisanship for me. It's a chance to give the office back to the people it serves.

My commitments are simple: streamlined services so every visit is straightforward; voter empowerment so residents know the tools available to them and how to use them; and election integrity, backed by bipartisan oversight, so every lawful vote and signature are counted fairly and accurately.

The Clerk's Office must serve all the people of Summit County equitably and work independently of the County Council and free from politics. Summit County deserves a Clerk that earns your trust every single day. I'd be honored to work for you.
